Project Description

To hold the JIB ECS Gold Card you need to have achieved the City and Guilds 2357 NVQ. The 2357 NVQ requires candidates to have successfully completed their 2365 Level 3, 8202 technical certificate or 2330 Level 3 Diploma and to be working in the industry. Your knowledge and skills are assessed by performance units consisting of real evidence. The 2357 Level 3 Diploma covers the Domestic, Commercial and Industrial sectors across a range of units on New Installations as listed below:

· Health and Safety

· Applying Environmental Legislation

· Overseeing and Organising the work environment

· First Fix

· Second Fix

· Inspection and Testing

· Fault Finding

· Am2 (The Am2 must be taken at an approved centre and is an additional cost)

·

Unlike classroom or online learning, the NVQ is ongoing competency which is assessed by completing a portfolio of evidence while working on site.

Evidence will be obtained through a range of methods including;

· Witness testimony from Professionals

· Reflective accounts

· Photographic evidence

· Direct and online site observation by Assessors

· Work products

· Professional discussions with Assessors

The length of time that the NVQ takes will depend on how quickly you can cover the different types of evidence required to complete all the assessments to the City and Guilds standard. As a rough guide, those already working as a contractor with correct knowledge and experience can take six to twelve months. The cost for the 2357 Level 3 NVQ is from £1400.00. A deposit of £140.00 can be paid. The remaining balance can be paid in monthly instalments (The full cost of the course must be paid upon completion).
